September Musings

It still amazes me how this year flew by so fast. Then again, I think I say that about each year that passes. It’s the most appropriate and trite thing to say to someone especially once February rolls around or right after the Summer season ends, and 99.99% of the time, others will nod in agreement.

Fall officially started last week, but if you’re from LA, we’re still in full Summer mode. And though Trader Joe’s has transitioned into a pumpkin wonderland, I can’t exactly bust out the scarves and pea coats just yet. But no complaints here. I’m actually not a big fan of cold weather. I seriously have back pains when the climate falls below 75 degrees. I am a 29-year-old with body tendencies of a 90 year old. Quite the catch, I know . Maybe I was always meant to live in LA after all.

September has probably been the least stressful month of 2015 thus far. I’m approaching some down time at work, so I’m having less nightmares about spreadsheets, auditors and potentially misplaced files. Plus our annual vacation is right around the corner, so I’m definitely looking forward to waves crashing and beach bummin’.

C and I are flying to Norcal later tonight to visit family and friends. We’ve been looking forward to this trip for months now since it has been more than a year since we last visited. I wish everyone good vibes for the rest of the week. I leave you with some random finds to get you out of your hump day slump:

  1. Food Capitals of the World according to Instagram

  2. 36 Inspiring Quotes from Self-Made Billionaires

  3. Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck

  4. If you don’t watch TED, you should….

5. I’ve had braces for more than a month now (which I will be writing about). Though this has never happened to me, I feel like I can relate HAHA.
